Miriam Margoyle has said its a story of her own greed
Miriam Margoyle has joked about turning down a marvel project and how it revealed her own greed.
As a veteran of both the screen and stage plays, Miriam Margoyle has the benefit of being able to pick and choose the roles she wants to star in.
However, it comes as a surprise that she recently turned down a project from Marvel and a chance to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A lot of actors leap at the chance to get into Marvel and are pretty much down play whoever and whatever because we know they have the big bucks.

Speaking to Australian news outlet News.com.au while promoting her autobiography ‘Oh Miriam!’, she explained how she turned down a role in Marvel’s Agatha All Along series.
“They contacted me and said, ‘we’re doing a story about witches’. I thought, ‘oh god, not witches again, because I’ve done that with Harry Potter.”
Margoyle has previously divided the Harry Potter fan base with her comments on the adult fans of the series.
Back in March she said: “I worry about Harry Potter fans because they should be over that by now.
“It was 25 years ago and it’s for children – I think it’s for children.” she said in an interview with New Zealand broadcaster, 1News.
She added: “They get stuck in it. I do Cameos, and people say, ‘We’re having a Harry Potter-themed wedding, and I think, ‘Gosh, what’s their first night of fun going to be?’ I can’t even think about it. No.”
But when it came to Marvel, Margoyle joked that the story was really about her own financial greed rather than anything else.

She continued: “I don’t like America and I didn’t want to be in Georgia for four months. So I just said, ‘well, I want a million pounds ($1.2 million)’ and they said, ‘you can have half a million’, and I said, ‘no, I don’t want to do it’, so it just stopped. Really it’s a story about my own greed rather than anything else.”
This story has also spread elsewhere on social media as Reddit users have weighed in on her Margoyle’s choice.
One user said: “What an extraordinarily life-changing amount of money for me. I would absolutely take an acting gig in Georgia for 6 figures; that seems so easy. I know it’s different for highly successful people, but I wish my life had this luxury.”
Another added: “She’s also 83, she probs just is more considerate of how she uses her time now. I can’t blame her.”
A third commented: “I’d love to be able to turn down a $600,000 deal.”
