The man, the myth, the legend, Chuck Norris is getting ready to celebrate his 85th birthday on March 10. The actor — best known for roles in the beloved television show Walker, Texas Ranger and martial arts films like Firewalker and The Delta Force — will be getting a birthday tribute from the Heroes & Icons TV network, with a March 9, 2025, Walker, Texas Ranger marathon called Chuck’s Birthday Bash ‘Em Up!
The marathon, which airs a day before his birthday, will run from 1-7pm ET and will include the two-part series pilot, two-part series finale and the made-for-TV movie Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire, which was released in 2005.
Heroes & Icons Network
Walker, Texas Ranger premiered on April 21, 1993, and ran until May 19, 2001. The series was inspired by the 1983 film Lone Wolf McQuade, also starring Norris as a member of the Texas Ranger Division.
The show was centered around Norris’s character Sergeant Cordell “Cord” Walker, who was raised by his Native American uncle, Ray Firewalker. The show was known for teaching moral lessons while Norris used his martial artist skills to catch the bad guys.
The series proved so successful that it sparked the TV movie in 2005 and a 2021 reboot titled Walker, starring Jared Padalecki. The Heroes & Icons network regularly shows reruns of Norris’ version of Walker, Texas Ranger Monday-Friday from 5-8pm ET/PT, Saturdays from 4-6pm ET/PT and Sundays from 1-6pm ET/PT.
